NOLA Poboys: Reviews & Ratings
We stopped by twice on our last trip. We got the boudin balls and crawfish pie. We enjoyed the pies the best and came back a second time just fine them. The service was fantastic and very friendly. Food was hot and fresh. They are open until 2am so a perfect option for a late night snack or meal.
I really like this place! Service very friendly. Food was tasty (I had the mushroom poboy). Good vibe, lots of stuff stuck on walls and ceiling to look at while you eat. Everything clean. Seats comfy. Cool but not too cold.
Good selection of food other than Po-Boys. The Po-boy bread is very good. We enjoyed both a Shrimp and a Oyster Po-boy, a side of fried okra and a can of Coke. Total bill was $40.83
The shrimp po boy was fantastic, with perfect seasoning. The food overall was delicious. The boudin balls, though good, lacked punch. The alligator bites were off, with too little meat and a flavor too similar to the boudin balls. It's conveniently open late.
As a New Orleans native who moved away, I’m always on a mission to find the 'real deal' when I travel back home. NOLA Poboyy absolutely nailed it. We grabbed the Shrimp Poboys and fried Boudin, and man, that shrimp had a spicy, flavorful kick that stayed with us. But the real test is always the bread—and this did not miss. It had that perfect 'crunch on the outside, soft on the inside' texture that defines an authentic poboy. If you want a true taste of the city, this is the spot!
Shrimp poboy was good! Make sure you add mayo if you don’t mind mayo, it made it more delicious. It’s our second time trying poboy in New Orleans. Gumbo was just okay, it had a chicken noodle soup vibe which we didn’t get from other Gumbo.
Love coming here when I'm in town, and bringing new people to enjoy it with me. The Debris fries are always a sure bet, but this trip I was blown away (literally went into a happy food coma) by the softshell crab po boy. We also had catfish one night (ask for the remoulade!), and shared a whole Muffelatta on our last day. You can't go wrong with NOLA POBOYS!!!
Went on Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday so the line was pretty long but the wait was worth it! We got the shrimp Po’boy, Fried Okra Bites and there Boudin Balls! Everything was delicious! Strongly recommend the Po’Boy and Boudin balls
